About the Program

Designed for Real-World Learning

The L.A.B. Injectable Mentorship Program bridges classroom learning with true clinical experience. Each mentee joins our Southlake location one day per week to shadow licensed injectors, observe patient care, and participate in non-billable, educational tasks under direct supervision.

This structure allows professionals to grow their skills, refine their understanding of facial anatomy, and experience the pace and precision of an active medical aesthetics practice.

How the Program Works:

  • The Program is open to licensed RNs, NPs, PAs, and MDs/DOs in Texas.
  • Mentees attend one clinic day per week (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.)
  • Commit to a minimum 3-month term, with the option to extend to 6, 9, or 12 months
  • Earn 1 hour of private hands-on training per month of active participation
  • Use training hours monthly or bank them for the end of your term
  • All supplies are provided; mentees are responsible for product costs
  • Models are available upon request or may be arranged by the mentee

Participation:

This is an unpaid educational mentorship that provides invaluable training and experience. Participation guarantees no employment upon completion.

  • Week 2 – Shadow the medical assistant and learn daily responsibilities and clinic flow.

Unlike short workshops or certification courses, The L.A.B. Mentorship offers consistent, in-clinic exposure. You’ll experience the real pace, communication, and decision-making behind successful patient care while developing long-term professional habits.

How competitive is the mentorship selection process?

Applications are reviewed carefully to ensure placements align with mentor capacity and clinic flow. Spots are limited, so early application increases your chances of selection.

What if I want to specialize in a specific area of aesthetics?

Your mentor can help focus your observation and hands-on training hours toward the treatments or techniques that align with your career goals.

Mentors provide daily and ongoing feedback on professionalism, communication, initiative, and growth. Consistent performance and attendance determine eligibility for term extensions.

Can I balance this mentorship with a full-time job?

Yes. The program only requires one full clinic day per week, which many participants schedule around their primary work commitments. Consistency is key, so choose a day you can reliably attend each week.

Can I request a letter of completion or reference after the program?

Yes. Upon successful completion, mentees can request documentation of participation and a professional reference from their mentor.

What kind of support will I get after my mentorship ends?
